Join us on August 1st, for our 5th annual Solidarity Day! This is a major day of impact for the animals where activists from all over the UK come together in Birmingham city centre for one epic 6-hour long movie challenge!
Solidarity Day is a day of**** unity: for the animals, as a national activist community, and standing with Solidarity Day events happening across the world! It’s a chance to create a powerful public presence, celebrate our shared values, and inspire people to take action.
Last year, we raised the bar and showcased our movie challenge on a huge, 28ft truck screen, with audio streamed through wireless silent disco headphones. Hundreds of people stopped to watch, participate, ask questions, and engage. The atmosphere was electric — full of curiosity, energy, connection, and real impact for the animals.
After the event, we will all gather to celebrate the amazing work we have done for animals. At We The Free, we follow the “work hard, play hard" philosophy. While we realise that getting out in the streets is important, we understand that no community can thrive without also focusing on team-building. That’s why we encourage everyone to take part in our community social celebration!
